As an online-only business, we do not have a physical storefront — all returns are handled conveniently through the post. To help us keep our prices fair and our stock fresh, we ask that you take a moment to read through the simple guidelines below. We promise it won't take long!

Change of Mind & Sizing Exchanges

We know that choosing the right fishing gear online can sometimes be tricky — sizing can vary between brands, and what looks great on screen doesn't always feel right in person. We get it! That's why we are happy to offer Store Credits or Exchanges if you change your mind or need a different size.

 

Please Choose Carefully: Because we are a small online business, we are unable to offer direct cash refunds for change of mind or incorrect size selection. We kindly ask that you double-check our size guides and product descriptions before placing your order.

 

To be eligible for an exchange or store credit, your return must meet the following conditions:

  • Timeframe: You must contact us and post your return within 30 days of your purchase date.
     
  • Condition: Items must be in their original, as-new condition — unworn, unwashed, and scent-free (no perfumes, smoke, or bait scents, please!).
     
  • Packaging: Items must be returned in their original packaging with all tags, labels, and hygiene seals still fully attached.
     
  • Exclusions: For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns on underwear, swimwear, socks, custom-made items, or gift cards.

2.  Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If an item arrives damaged, has a manufacturing fault, or is different from what you ordered, please accept our sincere apologies! We take great pride in the quality of our gear, and we want to make this right for you straight away.

 

Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a remedy if our products fail to meet consumer guarantees:

  • Major Failures: If the product has a major fault (e.g., it is completely unusable or unsafe), you are entitled to your choice of a full refund, replacement, or store credit.
     
  • Minor Failures: If the fault is minor, we will repair, replace, or refund the item at our discretion within a reasonable timeframe.

If you believe your item is faulty or you have received the wrong item, please email our team at support@thecurvyangler.com.au with your order number and a clear photo of the issue. We will guide you through the process and ensure you are not out of pocket for any return postage costs.

3.  How to Make a Return via Post

Since we operate entirely online, all returns must be sent back to us via post. Here is how easy it is:

  1. Get in Touch First: Email us at support@thecurvyangler.com.au with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and whether you would prefer an exchange or store credit. We will confirm your return is eligible and provide our return postal address.
     
  2. Pack It Securely: Carefully repack your unworn item(s) in their original retail packaging (with all tags still attached), then place everything inside a secure mailing satchel or box. Please do not stick any shipping labels directly onto the product's original retail packaging.
     
  3. Post It Back: Send your parcel to the address we provide. We strongly recommend using a trackable postage service — we cannot be responsible for returns that are lost in transit.
     
  4. We'll Take It from There: Once your return arrives safely, our team will inspect the items to ensure they meet our return conditions. We aim to process all returns and issue your exchange or store credit within 5 to 7 business days of receiving your package.

4. Refund Method

Where a refund is approved (e.g., for a faulty or incorrect item), it will be processed via your original payment method. Please allow up to 5 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
