How do I wash it — and will it shrink or fade?

Hand washing is recommended. It won't shrink out of shape or lose its colour with normal washing, so it fits and looks the same on wash fifty as it did on day one.

Does the sun protection wash out over time?

No. The UPF 50+ is built into the fabric itself, not a coating sprayed on top — so it doesn't wear off in the wash or fade with wear. The protection you get on day one is the protection you get years in.

What fabric is used in these shirts?

Our shirts are made from a high-performance synthetic blend designed specifically for the demands of fishing. The fabric is lightweight, moisture-wicking, and quick-drying, so you stay comfortable even when the spray hits or the temperature

rises.

We chose this material because it holds up to real-world use while remaining soft against the skin, avoiding the stiff, plastic feel of cheaper fishing apparel.

t's going to get wet out there — how fast does it dry?

Most of our customers do. We designed this with Boat to Brunch Styling in mind. Yes, our shirts provide built-in UPF protection to shield your skin from harmful UV rays. This protection is woven into the fabric itself, meaning it won’t wash out over time. It’s a reliable layer of defence for long days exposed to the sun and glare off the water.

How is the tailoring different to normal shirts?

Standard fishing shirts are often just men’s patterns sized down or straight-cut designs that don’t account for curves. Our tailoring is fundamentally different. We add room in the bust and hips, adjust the shoulder width, and ensure the length provides proper coverage when you’re active.

The result is a shirt that fits a woman’s body properly, eliminating the tight spots and awkward pulling that happen with generic outdoor gear.

What size should I order — and is it cut for a curvy shape?

Order your normal everyday size. These are drafted around a fuller figure from the start — proper room through the bust and hips without a tent of fabric everywhere else — not a straight-cut shirt scaled up until it sort of fits. Check the size guide before you order and you'll land it first go.

Is this just the same as a regular shirt?

No — and that's the whole reason The Curvy Angler exists. We got tired of "women's" fishing gear that was really a men’s shirt made smaller and recoloured. Our shirts are designed around a woman's body, by people who fish.

Will it flatter my shape, or just cover me up?

t's cut to flatter, not just to throw fabric over you. Curvy women usually get few options out on the water — something shapeless, a loud novelty print or both — so we made a better option: a shirt that fits properly, sits well, and doesn't look like you borrowed it off your husband.

Won't long sleeves just cook me out in the Aussie sun?

Covering up keeps the sun off your skin instead of frying it, and the fabric is light, breathable and quick-drying — so you stay cooler covered than you would burning in a singlet. The UPF 50+ handles the bits you always miss with sunscreen.
